Digital Printing Hardware Manufacturers Series

A series of six reports comparing the relative size of OEMs involved in the digital printing market. Each of the six reports is described below (TE-02 through TE-07). This special pricing is for the complete series. Each report may be purchased individually for $750 each (see below). Report # TE-08 contains the same information as TE-02, but as a single poster format (24"x24")

In 2002, more than 35 digital printing hardware companies had revenues attributed to digital printing totaling more than $102 billion. An estimated $46.2 billion was reinvested in R&D. Twenty-seven earned all or a portion of revenue from ink jet technology. Twenty-three earned a portion of revenue from electrophotography; no companies derived revenue solely from electrophotography.

Analog Print Technologies: Description & Comparison Businesses and consumers spent about $1 trillion worldwide for print services using analog printing technologies. There are five analog print technologies: letterpress, flexography (flexo), offset lithography (offset), screen and rotogravure (gravure). These printing technologies co-exist for the most part, although there may be some overlap in certain applications. This report briefly comments on the future of analog print technology. It further describes each print technology and lists primary applications, advantages, disadvantages and distinguishing characteristics.
